    The Camp Card is an award-winning fundraising program that helps Scouts earn their way to camp or other outdoor adventures!  The Alamo Area Council Camp Cards offer discounts at several area businesses.

    • Each Camp Card is sold for $5.00, with 50% going to the unit and 50% going to the Council. 
    • Units are encouraged to use these funds to ensure that every Scout can attend summer camp. The Council's portion covers the cost of production, securing sponsors, promotional materials, and supports camping and other operations for Scouting year-round.
    • The annual sale is held during the spring; the 2019 sale will run from March 1 to May 10.
    • Units can participate in the Camp Card program RISK FREE - 50% of checked out cards may be returned to the Council by Friday, May 10, 2019 without penalty. 
    • Units DO NOT need to prepay for their first round of Camp Cards. However, the first round/set of cards must be paid in full ($2.50 each) before additional rounds/sets of cards are received by the unit. Remember, your Unit keeps 50% commission.
    • Payment may be made by check, credit card, or cash (Check and Cards are preferred). Temporary checks CAN NOT be accepted. Camp Cards will only be issued and returned at the Council Service Center, at 2226 NW Military Hwy.

    2019 Camp Card Challenge

    The 2019 Camp Card Challenge provides Scouts a sales strategy for the 2019 Camp Card Sale. In addition to the potential for increased sales, participating Scouts will be entered in a single drawing for one (1) $250 Gift Card to Main Event.

    The 2019 Camp Card Challenge

    Complete any Four (4) of the listed challenges to receive One (1) entry in the Gift Card Drawing.

    Complete ALL Ten (10) challenges to receive Three (3) additional entries in the same drawing.

    Your Unit Leader must verify/approve all completed challenges.

    Forms must be submitted to CAMPCARDS@ALAMOAREABSA.ORG by 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019.

    Camp Card Challenges:

    - Create a written plan (and goal) to sell Camp Cards

    - Sell to a family member

    - Sell to Three (3) neighbors

    - Sell to Five (5) friends (or friends of your family; separate from your Three (3) neighbors)

    - Sell at parent/guardian workplace

    - Sell to an Eagle Scout

    - Upload/Announce your Camp Card Sale on Social Media (You MUST tag or mention @AlamoAreaBSA; you may also use #CampCardChallenge)

    - Sell 10 total Camp Cards

    - Sell 25 total Camp Cards (including previous 10)

    - Sell 50 total Camp Cards (including previous 25)

    The Challenges are a sales strategy intended to boost your sales. Remember, a Scout is Trustworthy.




    Unit Leaders will use this link to submit their Scout(s) for the Camp Card Challenge. The deadline for submission is 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019.

    Pick Up Cards at Council Service Center, 2226 NW Military Hwy

    • Thursday, February 28, 9 AM - 6 PM
    • Friday, March 1, 9 AM - 3:30 PM
    • Council Office Hours, beginning March 4

    Payment and/or Unsold Cards Return Deadline 

    • Friday, May 10, 2018, 3:30 PM – Payment and any unsold cards (see new 2019 Return Policy) due at Council Service Center.
    • LATE FEE DATE: Monday, May 13 - A LATE FEE OF 25 CENTS PER CARD will be applied to all unpaid/non-returned cards. No exceptions! Every card remaining in unit inventory will require payment to Council of $2.75 per card ($2.50 original cost + $.25 late fee).
    • Payments and Camp Card Returns WILL ONLY be accepted at the Main Council Office.
